Have you ever said sorry to someone…
…but somewhere inside, there was still a little voice saying,
“But I was right.”
Pause.
And that's when I started thinking…
Maybe sometimes, it's not the other person we need to look at.
Maybe we need to look at ourselves.
Because we are so quick to notice someone else's ego…
Their pride.
Their anger.
Their tone.
Their arrogance.
Their stubbornness.
Their need to always be right.
But how often do we stop and ask…
“Have I done this too?”
Maybe I spoke harshly.
Maybe my ego came in between.
Maybe I judged someone.
Maybe I hurt someone without even realising it.
Maybe I was so busy trying to prove I was right…
that I forgot to understand what the other person was feeling.
And this is what I find so beautiful about Michhami Dukkadam.
It isn't simply saying,
“I'm sorry if I hurt you.”
It's a moment to turn inward and ask…
“Where did my words hurt?”
“Where did my ego take over?”
“Where did I react without awareness?”
Because forgiveness isn't always about deciding…
who was right and who was wrong.
Sometimes…
it's about choosing peace over ego.
Choosing awareness over reaction.
And choosing to leave a little less anger,
a little less pride,
and a little more understanding behind.
Michhami Dukkadam. 🙏
May we forgive.
May we be forgiven.
May we become more aware. 🌺
