TAKE TIME TO BE STILL
Work is not always required
... there is such a thing as sacred idleness, the cultivation of which is now
fearfully neglected.
When was the last time you did absolutely nothing?
When was the last time you gave first priority to work even when you were fatigued, tired and stressed thinking if you will not work, you may not be able to survive??
Our world is so addicted to productivity that we feel guilty if we're not doing something. But taking time daily to be still and inactive opens us to the spacious present. It nurtures and restores balance. Give yourself a regular gift of inactivity.
And how do we do it...?? it is simple...every one hour, focus on three deep breaths, turn your attention inward, breathe in through nose and breathe out through mouth and then take normal breathing...isn’t it very simple???
If you can remove some time on regular basis, do meditation...meditate may be for 5 minutes or whatever time you can, meditate only if you wish to reach stillness, and if you wish to keep your chatterbox of the mind shut for a while, observe yourself, observe your breathe, and become from noisy to stillness.. meditation has lots of only benefits and no side effects... meditate till you reach stillness and pat your back if you have done it...tell yourself loudly...good I could do it...
